Should I use Teflon tape on the threads?
No. Teflon tape is not recommended on these threads. On vacuum pump and generator installations, the vacuum seal is made by the duckbill valve’s built-in O-ring, and Teflon tape can damage the fitting or the duckbill valve. Thread the adapter in by hand and snug it per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Is this the same as the S-Pump Nipple?
